CURIOSITIES:
The Petit Saint-Bernard hospice: built in the 11th century, it is the symbol of a long tradition of hospitality, it offered room and board for all passers-by threatened by bad weather. Now restored, the hospice offers an information point as well as an interactive exhibition on the history of the pass. On the spot lodging-restaurant.
The Joux column:
located next to the Hospice, the Joux column is a monolith
where sits at the top the statue of Saint-Bernard de Menthon, patron saint of mountaineers.
The Alpine Garden of Chanousia:
located at 2172 m, it is an alpine garden that brings together
1,000 species of mountain plants. It is open to the public from July to mid-September.

From the Hospice du Petit Saint-Bernard, take the path at the back of the building which winds up the grassy slopes, follow the direction of Lac Sans Fond (Circuit du Lac Sans fond).
After 1 hour of walking, arrival at a junction; turn left towards
the Bottomless Lake (Circuit of the Bottomless Lake).
For the descent, take the same route.
