This entry into the Savine valley is simply mouth-watering. The stream, born
in the Savine glaciers, turns into a remarkable torrent as it thunders down
the valley, to offer up its watery jewels, a handful of glittering diamonds
for you to admire.
What a dramatic view of Dents d'Ambin and Etache Rock!
And what about these fascinating little delicate white pompoms that line
the Perrin lakes, planted there as if by magic? Characteristic of mountain
wetlands, cotton grass, or "linaigrette des Alpes" will make you open your
eyes in wonder as its delicate heads nod in the wind. These silky, light grasses
deserved to be photographed, but not picked. How sweet is nature, amid
the jagged rocky outcrops!
