The abbey church

A Gothic architectural ensemble, the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption has a rich and complex history. Adorned with trompe-l'oeil decorations painted in the 19th century by a Piedmontese artist, Casimir Vicario, and sumptuous furnishings, it is not to be missed.

Prices
Free access. There is a charge for visiting the church as part of a guided tour of the abbey site.
Reception
People with reduced mobility can access the church and the cloister, but will need to be accompanied to access the monastery and the exhibition From history to art: sacred heritage in the Abondance valley.
A coach park has been provided at the entrance to the monastery, but wheelchair users will need to be accompanied to gain access to the entrances to the church or cloister.
Meeting point for groups at the cloister reception.
Opening
From 01/01 to 31/12, daily between 9.30 am and 6 pm.
The abbey church is freely accessible every day, except during masses. Abbey of Abondance and its cloister: access subject to a fee, please contact the site for opening days and times.
