Take the trail that leads you into the heart of a majestic larch forest. The fallen needles on the ground create a soft carpet beneath your feet. As you ascend, the enchanting fragrance of evergreens embraces you. The sunlight, whose warmth you can sense despite the shield of trees, filters through the branches. And suddenly, as if by magic, the landscape opens onto a vast alpine pasture, spreading a blanket of lush green grass decorated by a rainbow of wildflowers. Feeling like you're alone in the world, you bask in the pleasure of this idyllic moment. Amid the whispers of nature, time stands still. A former mountain chalet, made entirely of stone and wood, has been converted into a welcoming refuge where hikers can eat and sleep. A delicious meal awaits you there. On the way back, don't miss the venerable Romanesque church of Saint-Pierre d'Extravache, whose origins date back to the 12th century. Considered the first place of Christendom in the Savoie, it's well worth a visit!

How delightful it is to wander through the forest on a hot summer's day, in the refreshing shade of the larch trees. And when you get to the top, what a joy to see the landscape open up into this mountain pasture and its refuge... Impossible to imagine from below!
