Allow 2 cars, leaving one after Bonnenuit, at the end of the Chemin de la Lauzette; then continue by car on the Route du Galibier up to Colomban Noir (1km after the Granges du Galibier). Leave the car and take the path. Most of the hike is downhill.

Departure point: At Colomban Noir, take the path that twists and turns downhill, keeping to the right as it passes to the east of the gypsum quarries.
1/ After a large flat area, cross the torrent to the left to join La Lauzette directly.
2/ Follow the well-marked path back to Grande Charmette.
3/ Arrival: follow the path back up to the parking lot where you left your car.
- Find out about weather conditions before you leave.
- This hike takes place in summer when there is no more snow.
- Inform someone of your itinerary, as communication may be limited.
- It's best to leave in the morning, so as not to be surprised by the dark, and let someone know if you're going alone.
