From the chairlift station, go to the right on a path that passes near the outlet of the Charamillon lake (2271 m, often dried up) and crosses the whole side of the mountain in the direction of the glacier: go around a small spur and go up a slope that overhangs a rather delicate ravine (ramps). Then join the moraine in front of the refuge which is reached without great difficulty.

Located on the edge of the Glacier du Tour, starting point for many races. The climb in normal conditions is a very pleasant hike in a glacial setting of great splendour.
