This chateau was built in the early 11th century on a former domain of the church of Vienne. Extending from the chain of the Epine to the winding path of the Rhône, this exceptional panoramic view which is afforded by this continental shelf break certainly deserves the name of Conspectus, the learned Latin equivalent of Beauregard, Beauvoir (belvedere / fine view).
