The rocky platform is smooth with gutters dug by mankind, or with time.
It looks like a bowl or a spinning-top and according to the legend, it spins on itself on Christmas Eve. During summer and winter solstices, the compass needles are said to be disorientated.

La Pierre qui Vire

Located on the GR9, this monolith stone is on the edge of the rock.
Once you get there, you can enjoy a magnificent view on the Ain plains and on the new Rhône in the crossing of the ancient lake of Pluvy.
