From the 1970s onwards, block parties began to appear in the United States, contributing significantly to the emergence of Hip Hop culture, which had its roots in Soul and Funk.
The idea was to close off both sides of a street with barriers and security, connect the lights and sound system to a lamppost and divert the power, and charge a small entrance fee so that local people could come and party, away from the city lights.
Radio Kaizman wants to bring its Block Party to Champagny-en-Vanoise with the same intention of taking over the urban space and creating a party for the villagers and the public!
