The "Cirque Boniface" is on tour. Unfortunately, its director, Mr. Rodolphe and Miss Suzette, the porter and the acrobat, are stuck in a traffic jam. Only Aristide, the ringmaster, who arrived earlier to set up, is there. He is forced to start the show alone, despite his great shyness. It's a good thing he's practicing in secret from Mr. Boniface! Nevertheless, he is soon forced to call on the good souls in the audience to fill the positions he usually fills.
