La Maurienne, a name that resonates with all lovers of wide open spaces. Would you like to get away from it all, get some height, breathe in the fresh air? The Maurienne, with all its great passes, awaits you. It's up to you whether you choose to do these routes in chrono mode or in adventurous mode.
But don't forget the most important thing: enjoy the best that nature has to offer...
So, are you ready to hit the road?
The route :
The route starts from St Jean de Maurienne cathedral square.
The direction of the route is also compulsory. It must be anticlockwise.
Participants can complete the loop on their own or with assistance.
Safety and responsibility :
As the challenge can be completed on any date (subject to the opening of the passes), it will be run on roads open to traffic.
Participants are considered to be on a personal excursion, and will be expected to comply with the Highway Code and current prefectoral and municipal by-laws. This includes wearing visible clothing and having sufficient lighting if riding at night or in other circumstances (e.g. fog, rain, low visibility). Helmets must be worn.
The participant is aware of the difficulty of the proposed routes and will only take part if he/she considers himself/herself in sufficient physical shape, and has no health problems.
Registration and homologation :
The registration fee is €12. By registering, you accept the rules of the Poule au Vélo d'Or.
All finishers will be listed on the Poule au Vélo d'Or roll of honor and will receive a diploma attesting to their performance.
Original souvenirs will also be available when you register online.
As soon as you've set your start date, don't hesitate to let us know at contact@lapouleauvelodor.fr.
At the end of your exploit, to certify your performance, send us the link of your activity as well as a photo taken at the top of each pass.
