Film Bessans 1750 m, a shared space

Since the 1900s, Bessans has attracted the interest of researchers interested in studying traditional ways of life and their evolution. Thanks to their work, illustrated by numerous archive documents and under the guidance of young Bessanais of today, we see how the village has evolved from an agro-pastoral economy to one based on tourism that does not disfigure it. We look at the impact of two world wars, the 1957 Arc flood and, more constructively, the arrival of Nordic skiing in the mid-1960s.
