Let us guide you for a morning to discover the history of Courchevel 1850: a mountain pasture perched at 1800 m altitude (Les Tovets), in the Tarentaise valley, Savoie, which developed into a winter sports resort from 1946, with the creation of the Courchevel ski resort and the world's largest ski area: Les 3 Vallées. Here, many things are invented for the development of winter sports in the Alps: architecture, ski slopes, safety and maintenance of the ski area... A walking tour with elevation changes and steps, from the tourist office (La Croisette) to the snow front, with a stroll through the Tovets district (chapel, protected skiers' chalets) to Ineos, headquarters of Courchevel's sports club.
Visit led by a guide from the Pays d'art et d'histoire des hautes vallées de Savoie with the FACIM Foundation.
