Let us guide you for a morning to discover the history of Courchevel Moriond: a montagnette perched at an altitude of 1,600 m in Savoie's Tarentaise valley, which developed into a winter sports resort from 1946 onwards, with the creation of the Courchevel ski resort and the world's largest ski area: Les 3 Vallées. What is a montagnette? In the past, it was a place temporarily inhabited by families from the valley, with the rhythm of mountain farming life. This is a walking tour, with ascents and descents, from the tourist office (Maison de Moriond) to the snow front, with a stroll through the village of Vieux Moriond, passing by the Notre-Dame des Neiges chapel and the Ste-Blandine chapel.
Visit led by a guide from the Pays d'art et d'histoire des hautes vallées de Savoie with the FACIM Foundation.
