Ancien hôtel le Mont Joly

Our apartment is located nearly in the center of Saint Gervais (3 min walk on an almost flat route to the market square), within walking distance of the ski lifts (10 min) of the Evasion Mont Blanc skiing area (479 km) and with a beautiful unobstructed view of the Aravis mountain range. The TMB (Tramway Mont Blanc) station is next door and several hiking trails start at the entrance such as the route to the beautiful waterfalls in the gorge and then the "Les Thermes de Saint Gervais".

There is plenty to do in the area. In winter, of course, ski in "Evasion Mont Blanc". The skilift is accessible on foot or with the free shuttle bus that stops right in front of the front door (every 10-15 min). Or ski in the area of Les Houches (171 km) which is accessible with the Mont Blanc tramway right next to the building. In the summer you can enjoy cycling, climbing or walking.

You can take the Tramway Mont Blanc to make the climb towards Mont Blanc. Along the way you can get out and take various walks. Different walks start in Saint Gervais or nearby. Several with beautiful waterfalls and bridges and there are also great hut tours that you can do, even with children.

In the center of Saint Gervais you can stroll around or have a drink and eat at one of the many restaurants. On Thursdays there is a market and many local products are sold. Saint Gervais also has a nice swimming pool and an ice skating rink.

If you arrive by plane or train, there are plenty of buses going up from La Fayet which stop at "le Pont", this is about 300m from the building. You can then walk this or take the smaller free van that stops right outside.

We offer 7-8 sleeping places and good mattresses: 1 family room with 2 extra-large beds of 210x90, a bedroom for 2 (200x80) with separate beds and a room with bunk beds for 3 (190x80). If requested the big room can have 2 full trundle beds (200x80) so the top bed or bunk bed doesn’t need to be used. Please let us know your preference.

There are 2 bathrooms (bath + shower) witch each a toilet. Hot water is supplied by a big boiler (300l). With a little smart planning, that should be enough. Because the building is very old (ca. 1900), the pipes work with sanibroyeurs.

We welcome you with all beds provided with sheets, blankets and towels (all included). And of course some practical things for your arrival, such as toilet paper. We have also equipped the house as richly as possible. Think of a washer dryer, large refrigerator, large freezer, bean grinder coffee machine, cappuccino maker, Chromecast, and lots of storage space. Plenty of cutlery, a mixer, hair dryer, etc. If you miss anything, let us know.

The monumental single-glazed building has shutters and is located on a main road and with partly wooden floors you can sometimes hear your neighbors walking.

The apartment is 80m2 and located on the 2nd floor (no elevator). In the basement we have a large storage room that you can also use for storing your skis / snowboard or, for example, bicycles. Parking next to the building (private) and in front of the door on the street and at the TMB parking lot is free.

Household notices:
The arrival and departure times are in consultation but normally after 5 and before 11. We work with a key box so your arrival time is flexible. We assume that you leave the apartment without waste and mess, cleaning is included. Towels and bed linen are also included. Wifi is included. TV can be watched by chromecast and we have channel package through a decoder. A number of basic items are available upon arrival. No skis / boots or snowboard / boots in the apartment. Smoking and pets are not allowed.
