Aussois Traditional Village Festival.
On August 14 and 15, Aussois celebrates and revives its traditions with a variety of activities for young and old throughout the day and evening. A unique event that will take you back in time! In Aussois, traditions are far from being ancient history. With a big fair! Program for this festival organized by all Aussois associations, volunteers and various Aussois structures. The soul of a mountain resort village that loves to welcome and share its history, its cultural and natural heritage.
Every year, thousands of people take part in this unique and spectacular festival in Aussois!

Program 2024 :

Wednesday, August 14 :

All-day raffle
From 9 a.m.: Sale of brioches and pains de campagne in the communal oven by the Ski Club Aussois (until the last brioche is sold and without reservation).
- Ticket sales for the evening meal on the Place (subject to availability).
- Electric torches available for purchase at various points in the village (€2).
- 5 p.m. - 3 a.m.: Opening of the Aussoy associations' refreshment bar on the Place.
- 6pm: Musical aperitif with the Accord'Oé group.
- 7pm: Traditional meal on the village square (diots - polenta - cheese - blueberry pavé) by Aussoy associations (last service at 8:30pm). Reservations from 7/08 at Musée l'Arche d'Oé: Adults 15€; Children (under 12) 12€ (non-refundable, takeaway service in case of bad weather).
- 7pm Batucada "Timb'Alu" from Saint-Michel de Maurienne.
- 9:30pm: Torchlight procession. Meet in front of the church with your electric torches to march with the Clique des Pompiers d'Aussois towards Plan Champ.
- 10pm: Fireworks at Plan Champ. Return to the village square with the Clique des Pompiers d'Aussois.
- 10.30pm: DJ BLAZEE. The heart of the village turns into a giant dancefloor! Dance until 3am to the sounds of madness!


Thursday, August 15 :

- 9:30 a.m. Mass in the village square, followed by a procession in traditional costume to the church. Cakes for sale at the end of the procession.
- 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: "La T'choupa" Flying eco-carousel for children aged 1 to 11, with free access. Powered by human energy and recycled materials. Towards the church
- From 11 a.m.: Pizzas sold in the communal oven in aid of Aussoy associations (no reservations, until the last pizza is sold).
- 11:30am to 1am: Aussoy associations' refreshment bar with traditional snacks.
- 11:30 am: Children's show by the Aussois folk group "Lo Z'Oërin" and "La lyre grégorienne de Jarrier".
- 1pm to 6pm: Big fair in the heart of the village.
On the program: masts, nutcrackers, candy wheel, bouldering contest, biathlon, tyrolean traverse, slackline, chamboule tout, wheel of fortune, angling, fishing for prizes, barillon weighing, envelopes, darts, PGHM, ring toss, sweets and doughnuts and much more... many prizes to be won in the kermesse - Tickets on sale all day at various points in the village.
- 3pm Parade of Aussois firefighters in Empire dress, the Compagnie des Guides, Mauriennaises in costume, Aussoyens and folk groups. Departure in front of Notre Dame de la Salette.
- 4pm: Performance by "Lo Z'Oërin" and guest group "La lyre grégorienne de Jarrier".
- Discover the helicopter of the PGHM: Peloton de gendarmerie de haute montagne specialized in delicate and dangerous interventions in high mountains (subject to availability of the PGHM team). Please respect the instructions and safety perimeter on site.
Traditions: "La Victoire" firemen's pump, songs, accordion, August 15 pottery sale, games of skill, festival...
