Leonard Barry:
Leonard Barry has been described as "one of Ireland's finest pipers, whether solo, duo or group" (tradconnect.com). Born in Tralee, County Kerry, and now living in Sligo, Leonard began his musical journey on the whistle at the age of eight under the guidance of his uncle Bert O'Brien. Having started playing the uilleann flute in his teens, Leonard's music is influenced by many of the musicians he met in the Munster region (the Sliabh Luachra style), particularly in Kerry, while also drawing on a vast experience of American Old Time music and the diverse styles of traditional Irish music. He has been described as a piper with "the attention to detail of cut glass, etching a melody with enviable precision" (The Irish Times).

Leonard has collaborated with John Spillane, Pól Brennan (Clannad) and Luka Bloom, as well as appearing with many others. In 2002, Leonard released his first solo CD, "Mind the Pipes" (co-produced by Declan Synnott of Moving Hearts, Christy Moore), which has been described as a "classic debut". It was mentioned in the top ten albums of the year in The Irish Times that year.

In 2003, Leonard took a break from full-time music to pursue a career with the Dublin Simon Community, an organization that works with the homeless in the city of Dublin.

In 2013, he returned to full-time music, releasing his critically acclaimed second CD entitled "New Road". It features some of Ireland's finest musicians, including John Carty, Cathy Jordan, Rick Epping, Seamie O'Dowd, Martin O' Connor and Cathal Hayden, Christy Moore, Conor Byrne, Andy Morrow and Tony Byrne. The recording has been described as: "An underrated, gentle, lyrical gem".

Shorelines Trio:
A powerful trio featuring world-renowned singer and flutist Nuala Kennedy, Clare fiddle maestro Tara Breen (The Chieftains) and leading Dublin guitarist Tony Byrne (Danú). Nuala is world-renowned as an exceptional interpreter of traditional song - known for the clarity of her communicative storytelling style as well as for her contemporary compositions. Tara Breen is a talented fiddler and multiple winner throughout Ireland, and Tony Byrne is known for his inventive and transcendent guitar style. In demand for both their diverse song repertoire and their virtuoso instrumental skills, this dynamic trio can do it all.

Since the first edition, sustainable development has been at the heart of the festival organization team's concerns. The cuisine on offer is homemade, and over 90% of it is based on local and/or organic produce. The beer served at the refreshment stand is regional and organic. Vegetarian meals are systematically offered. Paper editions (notably the program) are kept to a minimum, and information is provided as electronically as possible. An effort has also been made on festival merchandising, where promotional T-shirts and industrial screen-printed objects have been abandoned in favor of limited-edition wooden birdhouses.
