When the texts of the young cyclist and essayist Guillaume Martin (best climber of the Tour
of Spain 2020 and in the Top 10 of the Tour de France in recent years) echo the
verses from Petrarch, famous poet and famous climber of Mont Ventoux... When three
lyrical voices supported by the viols and the lute dialogue with the voice of the actor Gilles de
Schryver... When the chiseled madrigals of the greatest Italian polyphonists come into play

resonance with the equally chiseled architecture of the baroque churches of Saint-Martin-de-
Belleville and Peisey-Nancroix... This gives “The Ascension of Mont Ventoux”, a show

astonishing created especially for the Festival by Lambert Colson, the artistic director
