Rock glaciers are made up of a mixture of boulders and ice and are linked to the presence of permafrost (permanently frozen ground). They are little known to the general public, yet they are far more numerous than the white glaciers in the Alps. Come and discover these atypical geomorphological forms on a beautiful hike that will take you through a larch forest, the superb Mont-Bas mountain pasture and finally the rocky glacier at the pointe du Clot.
