Savoie Cheese Festival

A not-to-be-missed annual event, this travelling celebration gives local residents and visitors alike the opportunity to go behind the scenes of cheese-making and discover the values that go with it: a preserved environment, exquisite flavours, unique skills and exceptional terroirs, all in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Saturday from 11am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 6pm:

- Tasting and sale of 8 Savoie cheeses (A.O.P. Abondance, A.O.P. Beaufort, A.O.P. Chevrotin, I.G.P. Emmental de Savoie, I.GP. Raclette de Savoie, A.O.P. Reblochon, A.O.P. Tome des Bauges, I.G.P. Tomme de Savoie).
Cheese-making demonstration
-Presentation of 3 breeds of cow and 2 breeds of goat from our 8 PDO-IGPs in the cheese ring, and milking demonstration.
-Emmontagnée on Sunday 7 July at 11am
-Aesthetic cheese platter’ workshop by the Cave d'Azelie
-Exhibition of farm equipment and old dairy equipment
-Market of local craftsmen and producers
-Official Festival shop
-Festive refreshments and catering organised by Châtel associations
-Activities for children and families (photo booth, children's ‘poya’ workshop, draisienne race, face painting, treasure hunt, tombola, musical entertainment, etc.)

Saturday from 8pm to 2am: a ball on the church square with Deelight Evolution.
