Sheep Fair

Don't miss the return of the Sheep Fair !
This fair first appeared in the 1880s, then came to a halt a few decades ago, but it's back again this Saturday 19th October with a breed competition and entertainment all day long.

Come and admire a large number of ewes, rams, lambs and ewe lambs of around twenty different breeds from farms in Haute-Savoie, Savoie and neighbouring departments.
Refreshments and catering on site all day.

You'll also be able to enjoy a wide range of sheep-related activities:
- gatehring and driving dog demonstrations
- animal mediation
- osteopathy on ewes
- ewe ultrasound scans
- sheep-shearing demonstrations
- discovery of flock protection dogs, with information for the public on how this system works and on the dogs themselves
- information and explanations on the complete wool cycle
- presence of the 'Syndicat Ovin' of Haute Savoie with lamb tasting
- presentation of wolf defence equipment
- livestock equipment exhibitors
There will also be a lumberjack competition, a wine fair and various stalls selling local products and crafts (cheeses, charcuterie, woodwork, etc.).

Extend this wonderful day with the Saint Jean d'Aulps Ski Club meal and the Saturday night dance !
