The old church, which dated from 1838, was effectively demolished and then rebuilt in 1956 by Maurice Novarina, an architect from Thonon-les-Bains. The vault was in a very bad state and the authorities at the time judged it to be irreparable. The bell tower of the original building has been preserved, a bulb-shaped tower which is a traditional Savoyard design. It was renovated in 1996.
