This hike is not recommended in wet weather because some parts can be slippery and a fall would be fatal.

1/ From the carpark, follow the signs to the Chalet des Praz and then to the Aulp de Marlens alpine pasture where you can buy cheese, have lunch or dinner and spend the night.
2/ Continue the ascent towards the Col des Porthets to get to the Mont-Charvin Lake.Going through the lake offers you a refreshinf and peaceul break before stepping onto a nice cable-equipped passage to reach the summit's ridge.
