Easy forest loop towards Lac du Lou.
A remarkable viewpoint of the Aiguilles d'Arves is near the Saint Bernard de Menthon chapel. Baroque-style chapel with pointed-arched tufa door.

What to see / What to know :
This itinerary features information panels on mountain flora and fauna. You can stop for a picnic at the small Lac du Lou.
The alternative route takes you to the hamlet of Les Colonnes, with its panoramic view over the valley and the Aiguilles d'Arves.
The orientation table will help you identify the peaks.

Departure point: Les Bottières tourist office, follow signs for "Sentier découverte des Bottières".

1/ The trail passes near the tennis courts and then descends into the forest.

2/ At the Le Champet crossroads, turn right towards Lac du Lou, passing through Lordière.

3/ After this crossroads, the path crosses the RD78D twice before reaching the lake.

4/ From the lake, return to Aux Bottières via Pierre Glaire on a forest track.
