Franck Razafimaharo is a physics engineer and associate professor of physics. He has been an astronomy trainer for many years for teachers in the national education system. He founded the observatory l'écho des étoiles in the small hamlet of Villaret de Doucy, located 10 and 15 minutes respectively by car from the resorts of Doucy and Valmorel.
1. Observation of the Sun: an excellent quality telescope, equipped with special filters, will allow us to see the protuberances of our star in complete safety.
2. Observation of the night sky: depending on the time of day and the date, the sky presents us with different stars, each one as interesting as the next. Planets, nebulae, galaxies and the Moon will be observed in turn.
3. Workshops for children: small half-days where children (6-12 years old and teenagers) can get their hands dirty by carrying out different experiments at their level. They can also learn to handle instruments (sextant, telescope, mirror...). These workshops are adapted to the age and level of each child. They can also study and create craters, make sky maps, etc.
The place of the activities is the observatory. Occasionally, the observations can take place in different hamlets (Le Villaret, Charmette, Doucy, Quarante plane, etc...)
